 October 27th 2002. The 10th Dartmoor Devil. Storms raged over Saturday night putting a question mark over the safety of running the event. |

9am a Police Panda car blocked of the main street to allow 97 brave souls
to set off with a gusty tail wind, towards Haldon Forest.

The
roads were fast, and drying out until the groups reached the lanes full
of debris from the storms.

 |
Punctures
came early on for some unlucky ones. Luckily most of the trees and branches
had fallen overnight, and the high hedges provided shelter in the morning.
