9am a Police Panda car blocked of the main street to allow 97 brave souls
to set off with a gusty tail wind, towards Haldon Forest.

roads were fast, and drying out until the groups reached the lanes full
of debris from the storms.

Punctures
came early on for some unlucky ones. Luckily most of the trees and branches
had fallen overnight, and the high hedges provided shelter in the morning.
